"Sneaky Cards" and the workplace

I've really liked the idea of Sneaky Cards since I first saw them, and I've already planned challenge type cards for attendees at the i2c2 conference next year.
I've also been pondering how to make my Uni workplace more playful and have been trying little bits and pieces.
These two came together last week at the Playful Learning SIG meeting  when we were talking about this sort of stuff... so I've put a proposal to our Senior Management Team in Computing and Library Services (CLS - the bit of the uni I work in), to run with the idea..

Aims are to improve communication and cross team collaboration across teams within CLS through:
·         Building personal and team relationships across the service
·         Breaking down perceived barriers between office spaces
·         Generating ideas for improvement across teams
·         Acts of (fairly) random kindness
·         Encouraging a playful attitude to the workplace

How it works
There will be a set of cards produced, each of which has a challenge outlined on one side of each card.
Cards will be given out to CLS staff however seems sensible after discussion!
The person completing the challenge should write their name on the back of the card, together with some element of proof they have completed it (signature of other person, etc.). They can then hand the card in to somewhere central. These can then be collated (online?) as a summary of the challenges that each team have completed (not as points, but as a record of the things that have been done).
A new card will be available from a set date (once a month perhaps?).
Definition of “team” is up for discussion depending on which is seen as having the most value for breaking down barriers.
We would have a small group of people to define teams / cards / collation of results / etc. before launch.
Some example cards* could be:
·         Give someone from another team a tour of your desk.
·         Show someone from another team a hidden “gem” of the campus. Take a selfie of you both there.
·         Buy a present for someone from another team from a “pound” shop.
·         Bake a present for someone from another team.
·         Bake a cake for another team’s office.
·         Make a playlist / mix tape of songs suitable for another team.
·         Make a model for the desk of someone from another team out of blu-tac.
·         Play “Rock, Paper, Scissors” with someone from another team. Best of 3 wins.
·         Suggest an idea to make CLS happier with a colleague from another team.
·         Suggest an idea to make CLS less scary for autistic students with a colleague from another team.
·         Suggest an idea to make CLS less scary for international students with a colleague from another team.
·         Make a chatterbox and play it with someone from another team
·         Form a team of 3 or more people (across teams) and walk up Castle Hill.
·         Form a team of 3 or more people (across teams) and play a game by the canal.
*I have about 100 of these!
